Why take long exposures?

Well long exposure photos can be very cool. A lot of times they are taken at night. You Don't have to take them at night as long as you use a filter. You will need a tripod to take long exposure shots.Taking long exposure shots will give you the sense of motion in your photos. You can get shots of star trails ;moving cars look really cool as well.
